Frequently asked questions

Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. Every edit and export happens entirely in your browser. The one exception is loading an image from a URL, which fetches directly from your browser to that URL rather than through our servers.
What image formats are supported?
Upload any format your browser can decode, including JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and BMP. Export as PNG, JPEG, or WebP.
What's the max upload size?
Up to 25MB per image, whether uploaded from your device or a URL.
Can I undo an edit?
There's no multi-step undo history. Use Reset at any time to revert to the original image, and note that Resize and Crop only commit once you click Apply.
Does changing quality or format degrade my image?
No. Quality and format are export-time settings that only affect the downloaded file — never the image you're editing — so you can switch between them freely.
Why does converting to JPEG remove transparency?
JPEG doesn't support transparency. When you export a transparent image as JPEG, it's flattened onto the background color you choose in the Export panel.
Is the image editor really free?
Yes, completely — no account, no credit card, no trial that expires, and no pro tier holding features back. Your export comes out clean at full quality — no watermark stamped across it, and no resolution downgrade at the download step. One small ad slot covers the hosting bill, and that's the whole business model.
Do I need an account to use it?
No — nothing to register for, nothing to download, and no email address asked for at any point. Drop in an image and start editing straight away.
